Been driving all night my hand's wet on the wheel

OK, so long time no post, my bad. I've been lazy and enjoying some time off. We've had 3 days off in Dartmouth and we've all been split up staying at 3 different houses. J-ro and I have been staying with a really awesome lady named Cathy; she's made us feel totally at home. Even had sportsnet so we could stay up And watch the Sens get destroyed by Philly 7-2 last night. Anyways here's a recap of the last 3 days.

Sunday: got to Dartmouth in the morning. After that we headed to Peggy's cove. Waves and wind were insane. 20 foot swells. The ocean wanted to kill us. Robbie got too close and had to dodge a giant wave, which he did by running directly into a 3 foot deep tidepool. As punishment the ocean claimed his cellphone. The ocean is cold and merciless, yarrr. Got some sweet pics though. Had a last minute opportunity to play a coffee house. We did a sick acoustic version of crashing down....I'd love to here it recorded someday. After the show we hit up Anapolie (?) for donairs. I...don't know if Ill ever have another donair. Had a bad case of the meat sweats. Went to our billets and everyone hit the hay pretty quick.

Monday: slept in till noon lol. Haven't done that in years. Felt like crap and awesome at the same time. Josh and the Robbie's were supposed to play golf, but it rained. Headed to mic mac mall in Dartmouth and grabbed a Starbucks and a new Tom Clancy book. Went to ride the ferry to Halifax but Jay and the Robbies decided to have a jumping competition (read "idiot competition"). We ended up waiting at Dartmouth general for 3 hours while Jay got stitches. After that we tried to go to economy shoe shop for dinner...but proceeded to get kicked out of there and 4 other restaurants because Jake and Robbie 2 are minors. Apparently there's some sort of prohibition era law in Halifax that turns everything into a speak-easy at pm...we ended up eating at Saltys on the harbour. Not much to say about that one.

Tuesday: got up at noon again, watched some mythbusters And then went out to lunch with Kurts family while josh and the Robbie's went golfing. Jake and Jay were staying at Kurt's house. His kids were all awesome - his daugther Chloe is adorable. Didn't do anything for the rest of the afternoon. Then Kurt made us lobster chowder (he's a navy chef) which was amazing. I have never been so full in my life. Watched some hockey and called it a day.

Anyways, it back to work today. The next 4 days will be a blur. We were on the road this morning at 7:30 for yarmouth where we play tonight. We've got Dartmouth tomorrow, Kentville, NS Friday And then driving overnight to play in Quebec City Saturday. Couple of the guys in the band are getting colds and jays leg looks kinda like old hamburger, so any prayer is appreciated! Heres some pics from the last couple days. I'm really missing home and Char and my family (despite how much fun I've had! ). And thanks to Bill Doern for his part in starting the More Bortot campaign. Yes!
